28 Hilarious Sci-Fi Memes to Fill Your Nerdy Needs (February 26, 2024)

One of my favorite science fiction tropes is body-swapping. Whether it's in the classic Freaky Friday (which I think is technically a science fiction movie) or the newer Poor Things, it's a rich trope with a lot to explore. It's all about seeing the world through someone else's eyes. Watching Bella Baxter navigate our world with a child's brain and an adult body helps us understand more about the societal structure we've set up. Sometimes you need an outsider with a fresh perspective to come in and shake things up and tell us what we might have gotten wrong.

It takes Jamie Lee Curtis being in Lindsay Lohan's body to realize that her teenage daughter isn't as bad as she thought she was. If only we could do that in real life. I would switch bodies with an Olympic sprinter, just to see what It'd be like to run that fast. But while we wait for that technology to come to life, we have these sci-fi memes to get us through.
